POPPED THE Q AT THE TEMPLE OF LEAH, BUSAY, CEBU CITY

When I was outlining my Cebu itinerary for the Chinese New Year holidays, I was researching online for new sights to gaze at and not for long of an hour's spent searching; my housemate gave me a sole recommendation of a place by showing me the clip of Jessica Soho's episode of the temple on her weekend TV show in GMA network. It was an instant awe to the attraction's appeal even though the site is still on progress for completion and together with my girlfriend, we set foot on the place during the holidays. (yes! like Armstrong and the moon)

Temple of Leah is Cebu's version of Taj Mahal, it is a tangible tribute of Teodorico Adarna's undying love for the departed and his wife Leah Villa Albino-Adarna. Teodorico is the grandfather of the sexy actress Ellen Adarna.  The temple is inspired by the Roman Architecture where you can see a myriad of Roman statues, intricate sculptures and column aesthetics that made an empire-ish impression. Like Kings and Queens as conquerors of land, I perhaps conquered a heart to dwell my love. (cheese!) I made it to propose that very day to my sweetheart for a commitment of a lifetime and make her document it through a video posted below.

ENCOUNTER WITH THE GENTLE GIANTS AT OSLOB, CEBU CITY

One of the highlights to my recent and short Chinese New Year holiday leave of 6 days was visiting Oslob for the Whaleshark encounter. Prior to the vacation, I was choosing closely between Bantayan and Oslob to which could have bring traveler's delight and something new in my table. And it was for the desire of seeing the big mammals that led me to choose Oslob. Two words - worth it!

HOW TO GET HERE. Ride a Bus from South Terminal of Cebu City, specifically, it is near Elizabeth Mall (E-Mall). Fare rates as of this writing is around P150-160. That's air-conditioned bus rates already. I like personally Ceres buses because it's spacious, cozy and clean. And for self-assurance you better tell the bus conductor that you will drop at Barangay Tan-awan for the Butanding (Whaleshark) Watching.

LA VIE PARISIENNE, CEBU CITY

Got my piece of the Chinese New Year holidays by spending it in the Queen City of the South-Cebu City. Since I get to work in Cebu before for 6 months, I opted to evade the common landmarks and visited instead the hip and the current ones. And one of these hippie is the La Vie Parisienne! The ambience was undeniably stunning but I don't know how fair the food is because the food we ate could not sum up all the menus they can offer. So, it's for you to find out.

It's Christmas everyday in La Vie. Located at 371 Gorordo Avenue, Lahug, Cebu City.
